Remember those buttery, sugary, peanut buttery chocolate cookies your mom (or your friend’s mom) used to make when you were a child? The ones with the rolled oats all coated in melty goodness? You didn’t have to wait for them to get out of the oven, and you burned your tongue on the just stirred mixture because you couldn’t wait for them to be finished?
I was sitting around one day reeeeaaaallly wanting to make those, but lamenting the 2 cups of sugar that the recipe called for. It was then I decided to make my own version, one I could eat without experiencing all the negative things that sugar does to me. I also wanted to make them nutritious in some way. I mean, if you’re going to have treats, you might as well make them good for you! So I came up with this recipe and put it in my FAVES cookbook.
They were SO good that I decided to start selling them along with all the other desserts at Raw Melissa, and the rest is history. We sell almost as many of these as we do the Chocolate Covered Macaroons, and I assure you, you won’t be disappointed.
These are sold two packages at a time because one package is just not enough.
